It is currently 6:18pm and I am relaxing in my chair in the living room. The animals are quietly sleeping. It's Friday. The best part? It is STILL light outside AND it is 70 degrees, which I will go out and enjoy briefly.
However, first I wanted to simply say - that I am thankful.
The 2009-2010 Winter was rough on all of us. Today as I was walking out of the house with an airy and light blouse on, something felt a little off.
Wait, you mean I don't have to run back upstairs to get gloves, or a jacket, or a hat, or just one more layer?
NO!! Spring has finally arrived and I welcome it with wide-open arms. Today, this beautiful day, I salute and all of the snow, ice, mush, and clothing layers to go along with it - I send off with an eager wave.
Best of luck to all in their Spring running and racing endeavors. And when you get a chance and you are outside, just stop for a minute, take a deep breath and enjoy.
